SECOND EDITION OF THE CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE FUNDRAISER: "SAPIN ROSE"

Through the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation , the CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE * vintage * rustic * nostalgic for THE CHRISTMAS DESTINATION will present a wooden Christmas ornament, pink, from its store as a thank you to each of the donors of its fundraising to benefit the Cause of the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

At the opening of the CHRISTMAS BOUTIQUE * vintage * rustic * nostalgic for THE CHRISTMAS DESTINATION, on September 2, 2020, marked the first edition of our first commitment to the community, including the launch of a fundraiser at benefit the cause of the pink ribbon for breast cancer Foundation Quebec breast (Foundation).

Again this year, we are pursuing the objective of obtaining the participation of twenty-five (25) donors by August 31, 202 2. As you can see, our objective is not quantified in monetary donation, but in number of participations. We believe that every donor's monetary contribution counts, whether it is $ 10, $ 25, $ 50 or even $ 100 or more. 

As part of the collection for THE CHRISTMAS DESTINATION, all funds are donated in full to the Foundation. Moreover, to make a donation, each person must click on the pink button below, which redirects to the dedicated page of the Foundation. It is therefore the Foundation that receives the funds directly. Donations can be made anonymously or not. For each contribution over $ 25, the Foundation automatically issues a tax receipt. For donations under $ 25, a receipt is provided to the Foundation upon request.

Each year, the funds received by the Foundation help finance the following three components in the fight against breast cancer: 1. research, 2. support, 3. prevention and education. Why these investments? As pointed out by the Foundation, according to current trends, based on Canadian and Quebec statistical data: 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime, of which 1 in 30 women will not get through it; not to mention that men are not excluded.

This shows how much more remains to be done to stop breast cancer. Cancer in all its forms has for many of us taken away precious moments with loved ones, sometimes in a hurry. A contribution is one more step towards finding a lasting solution for our community. Here's what a donation can do for people battling breast cancer:

"By making a donation of:

- $ 25: You will allow 4 people to benefit from the virtual clinic;

- $ 100: You cover the costs of a meeting with a psychotherapist;

- $ 500: You help an affected person obtain a breast prosthesis;

- $ 1000: You cover, for one month, the cost of drugs for a person affected by metastatic breast cancer. "

Thus, we wanted to commit ourselves from the start to the community, and our choice was made, among other things, on the cause of cancer, and more particularly breast cancer. Right now, many people are fighting to overcome their cancer and others to support them in this adversity. This collection, it is for them that we make it, more particularly to Michel, died in the fall of 2019 of a cancer of the mesothelioma, and to Christiane, survivor of a breast cancer, which carried out a long fight of 2019 to 2020, as well as to all health professionals dedicated to the cause of cancer.
